AYA@USC Family Zootopia
This special event is designed to bring our young adults with cancer (ages 18-39) and their families together to have a great time at the Los Angeles Zoo. Besides FREE zoo admissions, guests will also enjoy a catered gourmet lunch at the zoo as well as special group activities to bond with other families.
AYA Monthly Meet Up
This support group occurs on the 1st Thursday of each month. Open to young adult cancer patients and survivors between the ages of 18-39 treated at USC and/or residing in CA.
The Quiet Legacy
Join us for this special grief session, utilizing sound bath therapy to create a gentle and restorative space for processing loss and finding emotional balance. In this shared healing environment, participants can acknowledge and honor their emotions while experiencing collective support. There will also be a letter-writing activity and a group discussion facilitated by Aliya Austin from Our House Grief Support Center.

The 7th AYA@USC Getaway Retreat
Thanks to the generous support of the Audrey Irmas Foundation for Social Justice, we will be hosting our 7th Annual AYA@USC Young Adult Getaway Retreat at Camp Ronald McDonald to bring together young adult cancer patients and survivors to create a supportive community, learn new talent and skills, enjoy performances, or hang out in a relaxing, healing, and beautiful setting. This weekend will leave you inspired, relaxed, and with some new friendships. We look forward to a getaway weekend of sharing, laughing, and celebrating together!

Social media offers young adult cancer survivors valuable opportunities for support and community, but it can also heighten feelings of loneliness and disconnection. In this talk, we will explore the social media paradox—how being connected online doesn’t always translate into feeling truly seen or understood. Attendees will learn why curated digital spaces may deepen isolation and gain practical strategies to foster authentic, meaningful connections both online and offline in survivorship.
